got blocked by Elon 😭

odd shit happens when I'm on vacation because before I left for the West Coast everything looked promising.

Elon was Tweeting that the bill contained $3B in federal funds to build the new stadium, which is a complete lie, there were no federal funds in the bill for the stadium.
Its getting absurd, how misinformation and lies just propagate without resistance.

Whenever I see Herbert doing his thing I get more mad that the Chargers insist on being such a run based team. Get that man some receivers.
He had Mike Williams and Keenan Allen for years but they were always getting hurt, LAC ownership are notoriously cheap so they probably said "well f*** wasting money on these fragile WRs".

Elon just deliberately lies. Pretty clear despite the technical achievements he has a shriveled tiny soul.

Just to confirm, you read the 1547 page CR or you are getting this information from somewhere else? I certainly did not read it so have no idea. But since the last CR was only 85 pages long this one definitely seems likely to contain a whole lot of pork that nobody knows about.

District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser addressed the situation at an event commemorating the start of an $800 million downtown arena renovation for the NBA’s Wizards and NHL’s Capitals earlier in the day. She tried to refute incorrect reports amplified by Musk on his social media platform X, formerly Twitter, about the cost of the RFK Stadium provision, and pleaded her case for why the land transfer was good for the city after bipartisan negotiation.

THE ANSWER

This is false.

No, the original version of the Congressional stopgap bill didn’t allocate $3 billion for an NFL stadium.

WHAT WE FOUND

The spending bill, proposed on Dec. 17, authorizes the transfer of administrative control of the RFK Stadium site in Washington, D.C. from the federal government to the District of Columbia, which could potentially lead to a new stadium for the NFL’s Washington Commanders. The bill explicitly states no federal funds would be allocated for the construction of a new stadium.

I searched it….and there is a statement prohibiting funding.

Well, sure, if you want to believe the biased AP over the billionaire who bought Twitter so he could have his own personal propaganda platform.

I provided the link and searched myself. It’s prohibited specifically. Page 233 section 4h.

I find the attempt to discredit without doing any research yourself (not you specifically), as weak AF in debating101.

Welp this a good test for Kliff this week. Lets see if he stubbornly and purposefully leaves McLaurin lined up against the likely defensive rookie of the year corner Mitchell who does NOT travel. Noah is out, Ertz likely out, Luke and Ben completely MIA from game plans... will he lean on Olamide Dyami and Crowder to beat the shit birds?

Or do what a normal OC does and move their best WR away from top tier shutdown corners.

Yes obviously I have Jayden and Terry in my fantasy starting lineup and don't want another 1 for 10 from Terry.

The local beatniks were all up in arms about the lies coming from those with the loudest voices.

I read every spending bill in full. Elon doesn't.

Hopefully the defense shows up and stands up. That should allow us to try to keep the run game moving, because we're effed if JD has to throw 25+ times.

And when I say "try to keep the run game moving," I specifically do NOT mean running BRob into the middle of the line on every 1st down.

Senate to the rescue aka Mustafa, "I'm not badly wounded!"

The U.S. Senate passed the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium Campus Revitalization Act by unanimous consent at about 1:15 a.m. Saturday — a Hail Mary action that required the support of all senators present without objection.. The bill cleared the House in February on a broad bipartisan basis, and it was not immediately clear how D.C. officials and their congressional allies got all senators on board.

Passage of the legislation, which transfers control of the land to D.C. at no cost, is a tremendous win for Mayor Muriel E. Bowser (D), who for years has sought to turn the property surrounding the decaying football stadium into a major new attraction and possibly bring the Washington Commanders back to their old home. The bill, which must still be signed by the president, will allow Bowser to formally negotiate with the Commanders — a possibility sure to excite the city’s football fans, who have not seen a home game in Washington since 1996.

Looks like Harris got on the phone with those same people he had met with to remind them it wouldn't cost the govt anything to move forward with this legislation. And presume had to write a few more checks. That's how we roll in DC.

I am stunned. Unanimous consent at 1:15 am.... Tom Chambers were likely empty. Odd how this f***ing govt of ours works. "Politicians" like those that said its gonna cost 3B should be forced to give public apologies. Presume Bowser helped get this wrong righted. It's odd the owners and NFL never seem to have to pay for stadiums to be built. Like fans asked to volunteer to shovel snow from stadiums. Long live the peasants.

Good day.

"
Bowser has said she envisions a mixed-use development on the site — including housing, retail and restaurants in an entertainment complex anchored by the football stadium — and also enhanced recreation, green space and access to the Anacostia River. Right now, the stadium is a rusty bowl surrounded by cracked parking lots that have little use.

“This is a blight on the nation’s capital,” Bowser told reporters Thursday, just after ceremoniously breaking ground on an $800 million Capital One Arena renovation. “I agree with the president-elect on this point: We want to make our nation’s capital the most beautiful capital in the world. So we have to move and free RFK.”"

Kirk is a first ballot Hall of Famer and part of the All-NFL team at maximizing earnings and never having won any meaningful game. He’s made the playoffs only four times and is 1-4 in the postseason. He has a career record of 16-47 (.254 winning percentage) vs teams with winning records. He’s 14-21 in primetime games and he’s never won so much as a Division title. Not hating at all, it’s super impressive how much money he’s earned while being as average as possible.

I'm definitely hating and I don't care who knows it. I think he's the most overrated QB in the last 30 years, or more. I can't think of one guy who got paid so much and was coveted by teams and has the record you describe.

Average in the postseason….I agree. His pedigree and desirability is due to his regular season numbers.

He just needs one win to pull even with Lamar Jackson at 2-4! 😂 Edit: I think LJ has been to the playoffs 4 years also.

Dude has been masterful at maximizing value for the QB position. Dak is a slightly better version of the same player…
