I’d much rather Jayden come back home to SoCal - nice weather on fast turf at SoFi, without much of a home field advantage.

Much better than going into cold, miserable Philly with a crazy crowd.

Ha. Still think we can do better that Whitt in the offseason. That said if Peters drafts well and does well in FA, he may have enough talent to get away with basic schemes.

Yes Davis needs to find a desk job.
I believe this is Whitt’s first run as a DC. He has some work to do in the offseason. And a bunch of upgrades. Secondary is a disaster for sure. I do like Agent 0, Lattimore (if he can stay healthy). Martin is pretty good. Rest can be upgraded.

Whitt is the first DC in an eternity who I've liked. I've listened to his interviews and watched how things evolved and how they actually adjust in game and I like his approach.

He's said the basic schemes are deliberate. He steadily tuned things down until theu got to a level where guys could do what they were meant to. His idea being a basic defense that's actually executed is better than a complex one where guys don't know what they're doing.

It remains to be seen if things get built back up over time. The fact that he is aware of the dumbing-down would seem to be encouraging on that front.

It could be because I’m super baked but I”m so f***ing happy watching this postgame stuff. Really incredible how they pulled a complete 180 from being an embarrassment to the NFL on and off the field to winning 11 games and being the best story in the league in one offseason. Even the biggest Kool-Aid-drinking homer couldn’t have predicted this.

With the talent limitations on the D side this year don't really have to many complaints.

Great win so weird to be in the playoffs and not draftnikking at this time of the year.

I think I just realized maybe the most amazing part of this turn-around: the expectation that when the shit hits the fan, the offense is going to pull it out.

4th down? No problem, we've got it. Need the O to pull out a win on the final drive? No problem, #5 is behind the wheel.

We still have to upgrade talent and depth, but once we've got a few more pieces, our guy will be one of the rare ones where opponents will be saying, "of course they're going to beat us, they've got #5."

Clutch play breeds confidence, which breeds more clutch play…

These kinds of experiences are a HUGE factor in determining a young QB’s long term success. Think of a young Brady game managing himself to 2 early SBs. Young Big Ben doing enough to win on loaded Steelers teams.

A clutch gene needs to be nourished, and Jayden’s incredible play has his blooming way ahead of the curve.

The simple fact of the matter is that he can process the game fast enough to excel at this level. So few have that crucial ability.

Plus he can run…

To top it off he’s got the clutch gene…

Now he’s stacking positive experiences…
