I was basically plastering his name all over the draft thread on day 2 when he was eventually taken. I was pretty pissed when they took Oliver Tarnstrom over him.

Thought I remembered you saying something like he’s the next Kravtsov regardless I was hyping him up for like 4 years now so i was definitely earlier than most as he wasn’t that highly touted until recently, and definitely not above Othmann. I remember I was in the minority in saying Perreault was better than Othmann at first, it seems Othmanns stock has fell in comparison to those 2 by a lot

I think what you wrote is what they are asking for. But a valuable roster player like Kakko won't be moved, and neither will Othmann/Perreault.

It's the sticking point you hear about of any big player being traded. Teams ask for the top prospect(s) and then settle for lesser prospects. It happened with us when we traded for Nash and happened to us when we traded away McDonagh.

Even then that’s too much imo unless he gets a look at center.

I love Guentzal but adding Buch + Chychrun to this lineup would be pretty incredible

just adding Chychrun would be incredible. I know he's not perfect but he's such a massive upgrade on Lindgren and I think would really unlock Fox.

Upgrading on D is so much bigger than getting a RW, i've been saying this for a while. Praying Drury can see this but not gonna get my hopes up.

I think Othmann is the sticking point in a lot of these trades. Do the Rangers think he is a regular by next training camp? Im not so sure. He's raw. If he is over a year away from becoming a regular, Drury may want to cash in now. Kakko we know at least is an NHL contributor. Perrault is breaking freshman scoring records and might bet here at the same time as Otter. Berard is real close. Im not saying give him away by any means but I think his inclusion can make or break a deal for an impact player.

Totally fair and warranted to criticize but I think he deserves some leway for his contributions over the course of his career.

The other thing is I dont find it productive to whine about him not being good enough for the last 20 games and spend the whole time saying "we have no chance" because of it. Much of the story is left to be written.

why are you being disingenuous ? "last 20 games". More like last 20 games of LAST season plus this entire season. He's not going to "snap out of it".

I think Kakko is a much more likely guy to move than Othman or Perrault.
