At $750 million, it’s the largest direct public subsidy for a stadium ever granted, and Clark County will soon be floating a bond to raise all that money and raising hotel room taxes on the Strip by 0.88% in order to pay back their debt holders over the next 30 years.

Yes. Exactly.

Do you really need this explained? I feel like the article does that really well!

Zappe doing Zappe like things already benched. Remember last year when there were people in this thread that thought he was a viable starter? Good times....LOFL
Gotta say, watching Mac Jones throw to the stud that is Brian Thomas Jr hurt.

We're stuck with Polk and Baker 🫠

Internal development

That's Eliot covering his own ass and trying to put it on coaching

Let's not forget Mayo/Wolf was a forced marriage. This wasn't Mayo picking Wolf or Wolf picking Mayo. Kraft threw everything together with guys who were already on the staff of a sinking ship.

What a lame-ass statement from Wolf.

It blows my mind that NOBODY has taken one bit of ownership of this raging dumpster fire.

Somebody - anybody - be a fu*king man and admit you did a shit job. We all know it. Nobody down there in Foxborough has any huevos.

Fu*king pathetic.

Hell baby
Watching the game today and Bailey Zappe?

I can’t the Patriots let this guy go. He’s incredibly talented, sees the field so well. His arm is really underrated. He’s going to start somewhere next…

I’m just kidding.

I didn’t watch this f***ing game.

I feel like this is one of those situations where it's a feature, not a bug, of the new regime. They got their jobs by deflecting blame on others in the organization. Can't expect that to change once they have power.

Yup. A bunch of sniveling boot-lickers.

How do they live with themselves? I’d kill myself if I behaved like they do.

Cincy would it sucks they lost week 1 to the Pats and all their usual close losses.

But KC will let Denver win tomorrow to not see Cincy in Burrowhead.
Bengals probably 4th best team in AFC right now but a loss to Jerod Mayo and Jacoby Brissett will keep them out.

I could say something cliche like power, or the pursuit of it, corrupts, but really, in order to reach the level they have, you have to have a supreme belief in yourself. You have to believe that you're special, otherwise how could you have beaten the odds to get to where you are. And if you're special, but still failing, then it must be someone else's fault, because someone special like you could never fail.

How do they live with themselves? Because they don't think they're doing anything wrong. And while we can sit here and think we'd never act the way they do or make the mistakes they do, it's really easy to say that from an outside view when we're not in the room facing the same decisions. I'd wager most of us are fortunate to not have such public jobs, where every action is scrutinized, but it's what they signed up for and they're compensated very well for it.

Another thing that attracts players is a good coaching staff. I don't think this is a plus for the Pats as currently constructed.
According to Tavai, Maye, Godchaux the Patriots are behind Mayo big time

The guy mouthing off White was the guy benched earlier in season in game for going rouge

Really he should STFU

I don't put much stock into players saying they support their coach. I don't expect them to criticize publicly. In the end does that mean anything at all? Plus there have been multiple players this year who HAVE questioned the coaching. I'm not sure how valuable player criticism/support even is.

My point is I don't think free agents are going to be waiting in line to play for a subpar and disjointed coaching staff unless they are over paid. Some of the in game decisions and indecision this year has been pretty bad on the part of Mayo. You would at least have to agree with that much right?

Even if I still remember that life lesson of "if you've got nothing nice to say, just stay quiet"; the utter incompetence combined with nepotistic leadership on the Pats these days is unconscionable. Nepo sex crime payoff ownership, daddy boy GM, and smooth talking fraud HC. Beautiful days ahead for this franchise. And yes, there is ample publicly published information supporting the position stated above but there is no longer much room for debate among the "for and against" crowds so I'll leave it at that and sign off. When you no longer can take pleasure of even DKH's wit on HF due to its utter bitterness, it's time to seek other pastimes. Take care.

Schefter reported on ESPN this morning that the Patriots are "leaning" towards replacing Jerod Mayo. Said there's been a shift in the organization over the past 30 days.

Bringing Maye back in was bad even myself the biggest Mayo guy was squirming wondering is this self preservation? Not the right move with who was blocking and place in standing - but Maye’s getting blasted in the upper body

Gotta think Jonathan leading charge for
