Remember when Tavai was good?

He's actually a good example of how bad the coaching is on the defensive side of the ball that he's gone from the 3rd highest graded lb in the league under Belichick last year to 136th this year. A top 10 defense last year even when the offense couldn't stay on the field has become one of the worst in the entire league. A soft culture being created where players are crying because the fans aren't happy the team is even worse than they were last year.

And i'm 99% sure we're going to have to suck it up for another season, while they make the scapegoat the guy who is getting paid by another team this season because Kraft hasn't found the next guy he believes in on a trip to Israel yet.

Anyone would be insane to take the jets job
Vrabel is interviewing for the position. They're also talking to Louis Riddick for the GM role. I'm a fan of Louis Riddick. I think he could be good in that role, although there is some risk.

Meanwhile in Foxboro, the Pats organization is in a stunned haze with no tangible plan in place, hoping things just fix themselves.

The problem with Tavai's thinking here is he thinks fans are booing just because of this season.....and they're not.

If my math is good, this team is 29-38 over the last 4 seasons with 1 season being over the .500 mark. They haven't won a playoff game since 2018 when they won the Superbowl.

Little advice for Tavai......"know this place." This fanbase doesn't accept losing. In my lifetime as a Boston sports fan I've seen its 4 major teams bring home 12 championships. We hold our teams to high expectations every year. We can live with the occasional bad season, but this team has had multiple bad seasons and each year as looked worse.

The Pats at least have the biggest building block in place: a legit franchise QB. Just have to build around him little by little, change the culture, and within 3 years you should be in business. The Jets have a 40 year old lunatic at QB and Zach Wilson isn't looking like he's going to live up to his #2 draft slot if Rodgers ever lets him play again.

Doubling down was a choice.

I'm not sure any fan feels offended. You'd have to be a pretty big baby to be upset personally. I just think it makes him sound like a f***ing dummy.
I am just tired of weak, fragile ego athletes. Fans have cheered and boo’d since the formation of sport. Seems the past 10 years, multiple leagues now have players whining about it. Suck it up and play better.

So much for this new culture Mayo brought in.

What a bunch of entitled whiners and unqualified coaches.

This year has been a disgrace. Top to bottom.

It was time for Bill to go, but his replacement was/is not ready for prime time.

Don’t be a critic and know your place. That’s to say, buy our $150 one time use hoodies.

Garbage organization that needs a complete refresh top to bottom. Not attracting or retaining anyone with this mix of shitty culture and performance.

Funny that Maye and Gonzo, 2 of the few players worth a damn, are the few humble and accountable ones. They’re still kids, everyone else acts like one.

I prefer Ben Johnson as the guy. I’ve never been a Vrabel believer although he’s definitely an upgrade to Mayo. It’s clear it is time to burn this circus down to the ground. No more former Patriots. New blood, fresh ideas. Rebrand the organization. SPEND money Mr Kraft. Stop making decisions with your emotions. Enough with the hugs and kisses. Bring in winners.

The Jets are a joke disaster franchise and have been for almost 30 years. They just managed to finish almost as poorly as the patriots despite having Aaron Rodgers, Davante adams, Garrett Wilson, Breece hall and a defense that almost anyone would have had top 5 at the start of the season

My guess is they hire Vrabel
It makes too much sense.

It'd be one thing to give Mayo another season despite the record/roster if there was obvious growth or potential in the roster ala 2000 Patriots. 5-11, but 9 of their losses were by 8 or less.

Instead this entire operation and organization has taken a massive step backwards, and I genuinely don't have faith that the people in charge would be able to fix it.

Loved Mayo as a player, and perhaps itd have worked if he had other experience. But it's time to cut the cord, admit the mistake and move on.

I love Mayo like a rescue at the shelter but Vrabel is a stabilizer

Vrabel was meant to coach the Patriots ~ plus he will piss off Belichick

Patriots could have Maye, Vrabel, and 1 O/A and people would be on cloud 9
