Sox did this pretty much with 70 power house lineups

Evans
Fisk
Cooper
Burleson
Oglivie
Rice
Lynn
Hobson

They developed Lee & Stanley but traded for Wise & Cleveland and signed Tiant off scrap heap

The
Fisk
Copper
Lynn
Rice
Evans

Shoulda been one for the ages

Toss in Burleson as the glue in the middle & Yastrzemski as the iconic player

I still can’t believe they didn’t get 2-3 WS titles
Then traded Wise to Cleveland for Eck.

possible no hit alert in DC;

SD's Dylan Cease 7 inning no hitter vs. Nationals; game was delayed briefly by weather

Lots of teams slept on him when he was available for the taking from Chicago last year......$8mil salary and not eligible to be a UFA until 2026.

He struggled with command a little bit last year for Chicago, but he had way better stuff than Giolito......for $11mil less.

Treated myself to a birthday present this year. Arrived today. I collect the ‘57 set and have 3 more cards to go. It was either this, or a new set of golf clubs……I can wait on the golf clubs.

The white smudges are light reflecting off the case.

That’s very cool! Are all your ‘57 cards graded?

I watched all the Sox games that I could in the 70's and yes they could hit.
We had a RH hitting heavy lineup, perfect for Fenway.
Our issue is that we had no depth in pitching and we were missing that stud reliever ( like Gossage / Tekulve/Sutter/Fingers).
Hobson was a nightmare playing 3B I always closed my eyes when he had to make a throw to 1B.

What about the other 154 games when he is on the DL?
What about Yorke?
He is raking at AAA. I guess we do not want to call him up to burn a year of his MLB contract?
Hamilton should stick when TS returns as a backup SS and 2B as well.
One of the dynamics of this team is our speed.
I cannot remember a Sox team ever having two players that stole 30 or more bases in a year and 3 with 20 or more, assuming CF gets to 20.
We used to be a station to station team, I love the athleticsm on this team now.

So you agree they can't rely on Story.

I think Yorke is a good sell high type guy, especially if you can get a pitcher under contract like James Tailon
