Gotta love this method of legal tampering. A team can't talk to players under contract, but they can tell "insiders" about their interest to make sure a player knows not to accept the offer on the table.

I think Elliote was meaning high interest in him at the deadline. Ottawa apparently wanted to trade for him too.

Safe to say, we aren't a lock to sign him and I think he goes to FA.
