I was looking at prospects for next year draft and saw that there is A LOT of right defensemen with good potential. The 2024 draft seems like the opposite of 2023 where there was barely any defenseman taken high in the draft. Here is a list of right defensemen that I think will could go in the first few rounds of the draft:

QMJHL

OHL

WHL

USA

Europe

2022 was the same thing.

We saw Nemec, Jiricek, Luneau, Nelson, Chesley, Casey, Havelid, Salomonsson in the 1st round in the summer of 2021.

This draft has significantly stronger defenseman than those above at the same age.
It's your vision.

I don't have any right-backs at the same level as Nemec and Jiricek in 2021.

Two CHL draft No. 1s as a right-handed defender was hyping.

Luneau, I saw him very strongly. While currently, I see Lavoie very disappointing. I saw Nelson as a second Clarke.

2 years ago, I remember we said the same thing: it will be the draft for right-handed defenders.

It's very different from 2023.

2024 class is loaded with defensemen depth and playmaking forwards. 2023 class was loaded with goal scoring forwards and goalie depth.

I think this draft has much more promising depth compared to 2023. It is extremely underrated for how little it is talked about on social media. I think the top 2-5 players will be better than this years draft and then some. Very good top end talent + defenseman depth.
