Keep in mind that slipping a bit inside of a perceived draft tier isn't always an indictment on a player's value though. Dickenson has an extremely high floor, but there is a question of whether his ceiling is as high as some of the other D in the draft, which may lead teams to gamble on another prospect.Right, figured it was as simple as such.
I do think 1/3 of the league passing on him would throw a wrench in the theory of Dickinson as some kind of NHL savings bond that can only steadily appreciate in value.
It's the opposite of Benson, who slipped as a small guy at a devalued position. If every GM craves large D pause then someone should grab him before us. If he slips, it's because he's regarded as lacking standout traits expected in a top D 10. Safe LHD should be more in the 15-30 range for me.
If GMs subscribe to your theory and he's still on the board at 11, I'd rather trade back 4-7 spots instead of drafting and waiting to use him as an asset.
A 2nd is great value for moving down 3 spots.
Especially in this draft. Don’t move past about 17 and you’re getting the same value as 11 to me anywayA 2nd is great value for moving down 3 spots.
OMG this would be like my perfect scenario !!
The draft fan/theorist in me adores this move. It’s a very shrewd one given this draft class imo. Just don’t draft Eiserman
If Eiserman goes 11 this becomes my favorite trade of the Adams era.I think the Sharks are moving up to 11 to get Eiserman since he's tight with Celebrini.

The fact that it’s a pick before Detroit makes it possible…but I’m worried that it’s a pick behind Minny
Because we're afraid he'll be Wahlstrom 2.0Why the hate on Eiserman?
