Having that much space rotting away in the press box is f***ing stupid. Under 2.4M against the cap this year and under 1.8M against the cap next year. Way more manageable than one year at 5.8M. Plus, they need the room to also sign Michkov.

Seriously though, there was no room to have Atkinson on the team, he wasn't doing well and his cap hit sucks ass.

They have plenty of cap space. Michkov is going to be on an ELC.

This year is irrelevant, unless you are being fooled and this they are a contender somehow.

Kicking cap hits down the road is dumb.

Would Waddell value his ex-player Necas highly enough to trade #4, especially when he wasn’t given a shot at center when they desperately needed one? What else would be going to CLB?

If all those picks are truly available, you won’t see any of trades until they’re live on the clock with the board realized. Possible exception of #4, which could go early if everyone knows 1-3.
