Boone Jenner and Tom Wilson instead of Artemi Panarin or anyone you’d… want to see at the ASG. I get they wanted one from each team but realistically… it’s not good for the product. Tom Wilson has less points than Ovechkin - who is a bigger draw or more fun to have at the ASG? Jenner is a guy I like but really? Boone Jenner over Panarin or Tkachuk or Malkin or Stutzle or Nylander or L. Hughes or Fox, etc. etc. etc.

Sure but it’s just an example. The product is better with the brightest stars there, not sympathy inclusions from each team to make it fair. I really doubt you’re getting a big bump/loss in viewers whether CBJ have a rep there or not. Panarin is like 3rd or 4th in scoring. Nylander is right there as well. Shesterkin isn’t even having a good year. It’s just dumb selections. Just bring the 16 biggest and best starts from each division. It’s the all star game, not the “maybe the best guy on each team” game. Because Shesty isn’t the best Ranger this year and several others are very arguable and the entire purpose is to showcase the best talents in the league, not to have Boone Jenner do a mandatory inclusion in the breakaway contest.

Well, of all the guys scoring at similar or better paces as Boone or with prior All-Star cred, I guess they don't think Werenski's going to be back in time. Or Laine. Or Gaudreau - oh, wait, Gaudreau is healthy, it's Jenner that's still injured. Then there's the four Russians, but I guess they figured since those guys play so well together if you can't pick 'em all you shouldn't pick any. And Danforth would get an even bigger "who the f*** is that and what is he doing here" reaction. And Fantilli... ...I guess they don't want to bring in a rookie?

IDK, I got nothing. Still looking forward to seeing Boone because I love him and he's awesome, but he's not someone I look to for dazzling skill.
