I do think this goes better than Palat (although paying this for a guy who might already be the the 3rd best RD is sketchy) but people also thought the first half of Palat would be good

They might get a call from the league for this, Tanev turns 35 this year. 6 years means the contract ends his year 40 season. If his salary is low in the last two years, that's specifically what the league warned teams not to do.
