It sounds like he’s still working out and all so it’s not like he’s completely out of shape but yeah if his injury magically goes away, I imagine it would take at least half a year to get back to speed. I suspect he’s done though, sadly.

Working out and being on the ice are 2 very different things. He has been on the ice for a grand total of like 5 practices in 2 years.

Players show rust and it takes time to get back into game shape after missing a week due to injury, couture is now going late into his 2nd full year.
