Just watched the highlights since I missed the game. The amount of second chances the ducks had were unbelievable comparatively. I think that dimension is really missing in the Kings. Kings never really crash the net anymore for rebounds which is stupid. Ducks seemed to have many good chances especially in the first period.

Kings defense got beat a loooot yet we somehow won.

We know his grandfather is from Spain because I interviewed him after the trade and the first thing I asked him was about his last name.
And legendary Soviet hockey player Valeri Kharlamov family background traces to Spain also but doesn't mean he's Spanish he wasn't trained in Spain as a hockey player and neither was Portillo...just saying

Why would I read the whole thread that's time consuming and boring really...if I have a comment or like somthing I'll let them know if not well...
You're awfully opinionated for someone who doesn't read the thread or pay attention to what anyone else says.

You just compared the last pick of the first round to a 2nd overall pick. No one really cared about Kempe at all since he was the person the Kings drafted directly AFTER winning the cup. You’re comparing apples to oranges. Kempe has been a pleasant surprise for the most of us who weren’t expecting much besides speed and some good hands.

Byfield on the other hand… much different story. OK hockey IQ sprinkled in with mental midget syndrome and you have the Jack Johnson version of a forward. All the skills and no toolbox.

But it might impact on how he (Portillo) pronounces his names, which I thought was the point of the discussion.

You'll want to let it go

@Sol has fully embraced his hatred of Byfield almost as much as he did his hatred of Quick

There's no turning back now, nothing anyone can do

But based on the players he does this to, take it as a good sign :naughty:
EXCUSE ME??? I wanted him to break out this year as badly as you guys. But as his biggest cheerleader I’m sure he’s even disappointed you.

Look either I’m right or i cursed him to do good. Last season when I lambasted him, Kopitar made him produce. Now let’s see how Quinton “he’s too young” Byfield excuses hold up now that he isn’t.

Or now that Celebrini at 18 has eclipsed Byfield lol

Celebrini comes from an Athletic family so wasn't awed by the bright lights and had the advantage of training with his Papa Italian-Canadian Rick Celebrini and his Mother was no slough either so...

whats in it for you to argue this?

He and his family pronounce it Por-till-oh because they've lived in Sweden for generations but his grandfather IS from Spain where it was likely pronounced Por-tee-yoh.

This isn't controversial in any way.
