Danault changed his agent this off season from Meehan to Walsh.

Apparently Walsh paid the Kings a visit recently. On the live stream yesterday, Russel said he saw Walsh and Rob Blake talking at a game.

Now we see Danault on the 4th line.

IIRC part of the reason PD signed here is because he wanted a scoring role, didn't want to be purely a defensive center.

It’s a next scapegoat up situation for both management and fans.

Like Danault isn't going to shoot 2% forever no matter how much he sucks right now, ditto for Byfield and Moore, something is just going to pinball in at some point and we're gonna have a hatty and 8-2 blowout on some random night

Hopefully not tonight though, I want to continue to sip misery so we can get crushed by the worst team and the best team within 72 hours

you would think they could get that pinball goal but none of them even f***in shoot, they just pass into turnovers looking for a snipe

I’m all for starting Portillo against the best team in the league. This team just got whipped by the f***ing Sharks of all teams, let’s not act like the Kings are good enough to have any “easy” opponents that they can ease a rookie goalie in against.

Throw him into the deep end and let him experience Kings hockey before he’s inevitably traded along with a 1st for Tristan Jarry in a few weeks.

Hiller has said more than once that he doesn’t get involved with the goalies. He recently said in a presser, “I don’t pay much attention to the goalies.”. Have to imagine the final call is Hiller’s but he makes it sound like it’s a whole separate department that he’s not a big part of.
