Well that doesn’t make sense because it is his UFA year and also it’s not like he’s not trying to score. Slumps happen and it feels like you’ll never get out of it….. until you do.

Harkins doesn't have the skill to play up that high. I would swap him and Vatrano.

I don’t get it either. Plenty of talk about how snakebit Cutter was but it’s been a similar story for Frank this year. I get that he didn’t have that first NHL goal storyline going but still

Maybe so but I actually think his physicality would mesh with McT’s and I think his puck retrieval would go well turn Terry’s.

His role wouldn’t really be skill-based, it would be a wrecking ball puck hound that wins battles and gets the puck to one of the other two goal scorers

It will come for Vatrano, he's snakebitten to hell right now. Main thing is he's getting the chances, I'd be more worried if he wasn't producing and not getting the chances to do so.

It’s funny everyone ripping on Cronin (I’m not a fan either) and yet say our highest expected goals forward who plays gritty and works hard “can’t play hockey”. He missed some wide open chances but anyone who has played the game knows how quick that can happen out there and a slump being hard to break out of.

Cronin sucks. So does Vatrano when he's not scoring. He's not particularly good at anything except scoring, so when he's not scoring people are gonna rip on him. Also, expected goals don't win games.

If he truly wants to stay, this down season will help him stay. We might actually be able to get a nice value contract from him if he’s truly embarrassed with his play once contract extension talks happen.

Harkins sent back down, so McTavish should be back next game. We could see a Johnston-McTavish-Colangelo line unless Cronin wants to change one of the other 3 lines.

“Going crazy” is extremely generous. Michkov has helped Philly’s PP, but he has not had a big impact at even strength. Leo has more even strength points than him.

I see this argument commonly but it makes no sense to me. Goals are goals, it doesn't matter where they come from. You wouldn't call 15 points in 18 games going crazy? Michkov is nearly ppg on a shit team.

Agreed. But it’s not just on the players who should be better. It’s also the coaching and system. Cronin’s one good move was putting Z with Leo over the last several games. I know Z likes to play C, but he has looked really good up there.
