I'm back on the goalie conundrum. If Brossoit takes more time to recover that makes Soderblom subject to waivers, could they end up waiving Brossoit? I doubt someone would claim an injured backup goaltender with 2 years and 3M+ AAV and would it be a huge deal if a team did? I doubt they would have signed him if Soderblom played this way last season.

Just spitballing

My guess is they send him down. bring Comm to backup. and if Arvid is still good in the AHL they move one of there goalies for next year either mzark or brossett. that is what I would do.

So people have commented no point getting down on guys like Anderson because they are 3rd and 4th line guys. Expectations lower for these guys. Playing up in line-up not great idea.
But to see Taylor Hall practicing on Bedard line is a joke. He may have been great but that ship long since sailed.
Problem is LuRich has 13 forwards most of which are lower line guys. You can only shuffle this deck so many times when you get back to what you started with.
Long season.

Maybe hall can open up some space for Bedard with his skating. I don’t think it’s that ridiculous to try in practice.

Hawks can't put Soda on waivers - he is still young, playing well and has potential and is cheap. You aren't going to keep 3 goalies at the NHL level - it's wasted roster spot and it doesn't allow for them to get enough playing time. I don't think you can put an injured player on waivers - I could be wrong - is there a way they can get a long term injury designation for Broissoit? The other option that I would possibly look into is moving Mrazek. He is a veteran and playing very well and at a reasonable price that I know a bunch of contending teams that need a good goalie would be willing to trade for. So you trade Mrazek. Keep Soda/Broisset?

Option 1: Keep Mrazek/Broisset/Soda on NHL Roster
Option 2: Trade Mrazek and roll with Soda/Commesso up until Broisset gets back.
Option 3: Keep Mrazek, send Soda down, Commesso up until Broisset gets back.
Option 4: Waive Broisset and keep Mrazek/Soda

He thinks playing good players with bad players will make the bad players better.
Are you suggesting Maroon isn't going to elevate Reichel? I won't have it.

(sorry you said "good", I was thinking "skilled".)
Why the flock is Reichel even here at this point? Keep the runway open.
