Most of our top prospects are in the AHL or on the roster, so it makes sense.

Demidov is doing fantastic when given time.
Hage set the world on fire his first two weekends.
Fowler goalie of the week.

The issue is just over in Europe.. Eriksson had a hot Champions league then is ice cold. Konyushkov is getting some ice-time and roles removed from him so his production is down due to Voynov and Silayev. Rohrer started off on fire then cooled off. Volokhin isn't getting VHL/KHL starts.

agreed i dont think many of our prospects are "crushing it" right now except Hage, Demidov well thats excusable because he doesn't get ice time, but the rest meh
I would say

Heineman and Kapanen are still prospects. And they're doing well so far for their level of development.

Mailloux and Engstrom are looking good.
Bogdan too.

Nice to see Mesar off to a productive start.

Roy is still a good prospect.

Fowler is doing well.

Demidov and Hage, of course.

That's 10 prospects right there.

There a lot of teams that wished they had these 'average' prospects in their systems.

He has an excellent wrister, as we saw at our prospect camp. It's definitely a weapon to build his offensive game around.

Can't help but picture a 4th line of Tuch - Xhekaj - Thorpe on the Habs. A big bodied line with some smash to it and have some offensive touch. A 4th line who will surely have an identity.

If you’re not good at something right away, you should never try to get better.

Real champion mentality right there.
It's not a skill he needs to make the NHL or to win games so he shouldn't spend too much time on it unless he doesn't need to improve anywhere else.

So you think he should continue getting his a** like he normally does?

It is fighting and has nothing to do with his hockey skills. Is he going to practice fighting at team practices lol?

That's because different leagues have different games played, difficulties and guys have been injured. In pace he's sixth. Several guys in the AHL are close though and the league difficulty is much, much higher.
100% but being a team that has sucked for a few years you should have a player, or two in the CHL somewhere who's above a ppg

None of our top picks (and almost none of our picks in general) have been chlers though. The last ones were beck and Mesar who are doing well in Laval. We traded our seconds in 2023 and 2024.

Protz is our highest drafted chl player at 102 of the fourth round. Thorpe is our highest drafted forward. In fact they're our only skaters in the chl. Xhekaj graduated is in Laval and everyone else is too old for the chl. Miller is a goalie.

Yeah, but still other teams were able to find CHLers later in the draft that are doing well.

That's 2 drafts and the Habs don't really have anyone from the CHL to show for it and that's not a good thing.

Kieran Walton, 6'6 on pace for well over 100 points was drafted in the 6th round.

After drafting Thorpe, they had 2 chances to draft this guy, a player that should have been on their radar and they chose Mikus and Ben Merril.

Luke Misa, who probably should have gone a bit higher was also there.

Justin Poirier, who scored, what 50 goals in the Q and is undersized, so why not take the chance there ?

And there's a handful more players drafted just between thr Mikus and Merril pick.

The Habs with all their picks should easily have someone doing well in that they're above a ppg .

There are other players the Habs passed on that have missed some games, but would be at the same, or better and are a position of need in the organization, like Nate Misskey who's a big, right handed d.

The Habs need to do better so your prospects are looking good in junior so you can use them in trades to get better players on the main team, or potentially come in and a be an effective, cheaper replacement for roster players.
