I would expect Profar to regress at least a bit, though his Statcast page and expected stats from last year look awesome, so maybe there's something to his breakout.

One thing I like about Profar is that his offensive profile is more OBP-driven with a bit of pop. He's slow, but you could legitimately plug him into the leadoff spot and let Vladdy go to work.

If the Jays signed him, I think I would still feel like they're missing a bit power bat for the middle of the lineup, though.
Yup. He's a more well-rounded hitter. He's always had the pedigree. If he had done this in his first 3 years no one would have been shocked. Maybe he's a post-hype late-bloomer.

As far as the power, you take him out of Petco Park and put him at Roger's Centre, Fenway, and Yankee Stadium for 100 games and that 22 homeruns suddenly jumps to 30-35.

Yo f*** this management team.

Devin Williams yo the Yankees. Either f***ing sell or compete. These morons don't do shit. They've made the Jays an incredibly boring team toe watch when they inherited a stud like VGJ. They're gna lose him too now.

What good is a closer when you have no late lead to protect?

I want us to have an offseason that makes you go on high blood pressure meds just because it would be more entertaining for me than watching the team next year.
Seems like you've got a miserable life.

Too bad for you my BP is just fine.

I dont even know why im being singled out because I want to add offense and dont see the point over crying over everything other teams are doing. Closer isnt as high on my list of needs since I dont think a 75 win team "needs" a closer.

I was just thinking about what an epic addition Williams would be for the Jays. This sucks.

Yankees may (probably do for sure) have a worst batting line up than we currently do at the moment. Especially when you factor in they lost Soto and Torres

They probably need 3 impact bats, but I wager they'll get them. I bet they end up with 2 of Bregman/Santander/Alonzo.

I cant see the grip on the ball, is that a splitter? Filthy though.

We are going to grow from with-in... F YOU ROSS... F YOU :madfire: .... !!!

Devin Williams had quite a traumatic experience from the hands of Pete Alonso. Maybe it breaks him just like Albert Pujols broke Brad Lidge.

Imo, since we appear to be aiming to win a lot of 2-1 games, a proper closer would be invaluable. If we could mash like the Dodgers, a closer would be less important.

I always disliked them but lately they don't do shit.

And then act like the rest of us are dumb lmao. f*** those two so bad.

To be fair they do shit, it just rarely works in the teams favour.

Shapiro has done a pretty great job, he built that world class complex in Dunedin, he renovated the Skydome, he's secured the budget to be a top 10 spending team. He built a world class analytics team. He gets a high score.

Atkins on the other hand has decimated our Farm system, to be fair Alex left it in pretty bad shape but Ross has done jack to improve the farm. The roster is a hot mess, he has embarrassed the franchise two years in a row by chasing unattainable players. Other players see this and wonder if Toronto is not good enough for Soto and Otani, why should I go there? Ros has mismanaged his relationships with Vlad and Bo, they should have been signed to an extension by now. Ross has been condescending to Jay fans, talking to us the stereotypical way an American talks to a Canadian, like we only have grades 1 through 3 and are basic morons. He has allowed mediocre play become acceptable.

Shapiros one significant failing is allowing Ross to mismanage the team for what 9 years now?

Anyone buy into the speculation (Jeff Blair) that Andres was brought in so the Jays can trade Bo? He was commenting on previous statements by Atkins that Will Wagner will be the Jays starting 2B eventually, Andres moves to SS which is his natural position (not a great arm though). He also said there is zero chance that Vlad and Bo are part of this team in two seasons. Thoughts?

I think we need 4 production bats: DH, RF, LF and 3B. Springer may bounce back but not convinced he will, he is on the wrong side of the old man mountain.

If you let Vlad go you might as well just rebuild.
