No, it’s just annoying because the Dodgers seem to be doing it more frequently than other clubs (while seemingly nabbing any top star they want).Does it break any rules in the CBA?
So the league can’t “step in”.No, it’s just annoying because the Dodgers seem to be doing it more frequently than other clubs (while seemingly nabbing any top star they want).
I doubt they’d want to. The Dodgers are a huge market and the league benefits from their success. So the league can’t “step in”.

Corbin Burnes is rumored by multiple "Insiders" to be headed to the Jays, rumor is 7 years / over $250m. How do we feel about this?
Soto might actually be signing with the Red Sox.
I have no idea who that guy is, but the fact that he made an identical tweet about Cole makes me less inclined to believe him. What seems more likely: he tweeted that about Cole and just happened to look right once Cole signed in New York so he's now doubling down and trying it with Soto, or he just happens to have some kind of source with the sisters of multiple major league players? It's kind of pathetic that we've reached a level of thirst for free agent news that people are investigating and tweeting about the real estate habits of relatives of players in an attempt to be newsbreakers about their playing decisions.
I don't doubt that people want it. It's just creepy, weird, and kinda sad.

Real insiders or "I know a guy who knows a guy" social media accounts for "Kevin from Scarborough" who's totally not making it up because his source is trust me, bro?
I wouldn't feel great about that. There are a few red flags in his numbers and someone on here said that they saw discussion about how his velocity and spin numbers for his best pitch (cutter) were down significantly recently and that could spell disaster because he leans so heavily on it.

The only rumours are that we have interest. I think a couple of insiders might have predicted or guessed we land him, but there’s no actual rumour that we’re close to a deal with Burnes. Can we get Max Fried instead…
Do you have any links to these rumours?
Apparently it was a rumor started by Andy McCullough of The Atlantic on Friday. The article I read was from Newsweek and from The Sporting News posted yesterday, written by Jackson Roberts. Can we get Max Fried instead…

That's not a rumour, though; it's a guy making a prediction.Apparently it was a rumor started by Andy McCullough of The Atlantic on Friday. The article I read was from Newsweek and from The Sporting News posted yesterday, written by Jackson Roberts.

I think he’s definitely still a front end pitcher, it’s just that monstrous contract that makes him scary. The Sporting News Article is a bit misleading, it says that this guy predicts that Corbin will sign and the NY times article is more a Jays should do this if they are serious about improving...
At any rate, not sure the dollar value speculated is reasonable for what a declining player would bring to The Jays, i do think they need to upgrade back end and front end pitching.
At this point of his career is he a front of the rotation pitcher?
