I’m really surprised with how much money is involved with sports betting and the league in general, among other reasons (like integrity, game planning, etc.) that injuries and timelines aren’t required to be disclosed, at least in the same way they are in the NFL.

I think the NHL is in a weird spot. Injuries are worth keeping secret because opponents will absolutely target the injured area. But not enough people care (i.e. gambling companies don't make enough on NHL betting) to make it worth it to mandatorily disclose the exact injury.

I’m more concerned about a second straight surgery and what that does to him physically than development. He’s already not a terrible\y fast skater.
