Seravalli will not let Zegras go. My man is obsessed, has him listed as the #10 trade target. And also either insane or can see into the future, predicting a lacrosse-style goal from Z this week:
Frank has sources, but he also likes to generate clicks. Zegras is likely included for the clicks.

If Boston is really considering trading a player, Carlo would be the perfect partner for Minty. He's only 28 and a top 4, defensive minded RHD who's also 6'5". My understanding is that Boston needs forwards who can score. I wonder if Vatrano would interest them at all. Maybe Vatrano and a pick. It would allow Gudas to play lower in the lineup with fewer minutes and Minty a more reliable partner.

Minty-Carlo
Dumoulin-Zellweger
LaCombe/Fowler-Gudas

I do think trading Vatrano creates a hole in forward…. So if we did make a play for Carlo using Vatrano, I’d hope we could find a flip for fowler for a top6 forward.

I like the look of
Minty carlo
Dumo zellweger
Lacombe gudas
- Vaaks/helleson rotating in
Gives us nice blend of good skating, puck movers with physical shutdown guys

Teams that potentially make sens for Fowler . Panthers/senators/ red wings…. Senators seem hell bent on making a move and have a lot of interesting forwards.

Norris, pinto, batherson, Grieg

@WhatTheDuck brave dude, venturing into the Rangers roster thread.

Seriously though, may be bad timing. Rangers HF is in disarray right now. So trying to just keep the peace.

Haha no worries, when I see some of these narratives around Zegras, it's hard to resist chiming in. I find it downright odd that he's such a point of contention on that board. Ducks have no reason to move him and he doesn't seem like someone who fits the Rangers current direction, it's bizarre to me that he's a main talking point.

Frank's fetish for Zegras is strictly clickbait, IMO. He names him in virtually every trade rumor he invents because Z generates so much emotion among fans who think he's one-dimensional but would surrender a kidney to have him on their team. If Z is indeed on the table (and I hope he isn't), his performance over the last couple of games will have raised the price of acquisition. He's looked more like the complete hockey player we all hoped he'd become.

What's funny is that when you read these articles, they all say that if Zegras continues to produce, he'll garner more interest and higher trade value because he'll be playing really well. But if he is productive and playing well, why would the Ducks trade him? It's the exact thing they need the most. It truly makes no sense unless Zegras has asked to be traded.
