Attard is 25 years old. Not really a prospect anymore.

He's the same age as Poehling, for example.

In 2018, The Sporting News ranked the Flyers with the 2nd best prospect group in the NHL.

The top 10 list:

1. Joel Farabee
2. Carter Hart
3. Phil Myers
4. Morgan Frost
5. Oskar Lindblom
6. German Rubtsov
7. Jay O'Brien
8. Mike Vecchione
9. Isaac Ratcliffe
10. Wade Allison

I mean, talk about "woof." And to think a publication thought at that time it was the 2nd best prospect group in the league?

Yeah this organization really does a terrible job developing their homegrown talent.

One had their development derailed by injury, one by cancer, and another by being a rapist… and didn’t Rubstov have a bunch of injuries too? This is all a good lesson on why your prospect pool shouldn’t be one player deep.

I went with Tuomaala because he has the most vowels in his last name.

That’s as good a reason as any

Oh, and Frost’s development has been derailed because he isn’t a Torts guy. They are putting more effort into coaching their braindead PP coach than they are him.

It's mind-blowing that of the Flyers' top-10 list of prospects in 2018, which the Sporting News ranked 2nd in the NHL, only 2 players may be NHL regulars in 2024 -- and that's Farabee and Frost.

Only 3 of them were NHL regulars in 2023, because of Hart.

I’m obviously lower on Rizzo than most.

Hey, I liked the acquisition as a wild card. But I don’t really see it as far as him having an NHL career.

Don’t have a problem with Tuomaala here. I went McDonald, but it was between them. I think I go Ciernek third. Then it’s a free for all.

i don’t think you’re lower than him than most. I am higher on him than most, but it’s more about potential upside. If I had to guess, he’s likely just a good AHL/European player, but I think he’s the one on the list who is the most realistic ‘top 6’ contributor.
