I mean you could argue this isn’t all that relevant to the Ducks currently (although I’d say it is at least somewhat) but this story as it stands sounds truthful.I don't really put much stock into SC

That’s why a short term half season contract is perfect for him… like being a substitute teacher to make a little money and pass the time in retirement lolThe feeling I got from BBs interview with SC was he wasnt looking to get back into the NHL
And i know it happened years ago, but an adult acting that way towards a child is insane. That’s such a huge red flag and I doubt he’s changed all that much. Team cant dump that dude fast enoughI mean you could argue this isn’t all that relevant to the Ducks currently (although I’d say it is at least somewhat) but this story as it stands sounds truthful.
Yeah. This is where I am. Why would anyone make up stories about the Ducks of all teams? Not many care enough about the Ducks to make up different stories IMO. There sure is a lot of smoke out there to Cronin being a giant hardass.Ducks aren't relevant enough for multiple sources to make up stories about Cronin. There's obviously something there
Aren’t you doing the same thing? Just on the opposite side of most people.Funny how when a story supports one's biases (the SC stuff), they take it as gospel but when it runs counter to them (our beat writers saying Cronin has a good relationship with the players) it's "just guys wanting to maintain their media access". Lot of people choosing to believe what supports their narrative
I don’t really have a strong opinion either way RE Cronin but I haven’t heard anything concrete to suggest that the current roster has any issue with him so yeah I often speak in opposition to those who push that narrative. This story being true or not true means absolutely nothing to me because it’s not indicative of who Cronin is in 2024 nor does it have anything to do with any players currently on the team. I am not in favor of firing him solely because I don’t think the current roster is anywhere close to a finished product and I think instituting a ton of turnover during that time does nothing but create a chaotic environment. But I also wouldn’t be upset if they fired him tomorrow.Aren’t you doing the same thing? Just on the opposite side of most people.
We don't have beat writers. We have guys who will show up for games for the free meal when they don't have anything better to do. Not a single writer travels with the team or is truly dedicate to the daily workings of the team. Derek Lee might be the closest thing we have but even he is limited by finances.Funny how when a story supports one's biases (the SC stuff), they take it as gospel but when it runs counter to them (our beat writers saying Cronin has a good relationship with the players) it's "just guys wanting to maintain their media access". I'm done with Pat as well. I know this was like 20 years ago or smth, but how many red flags do you have to ignore to hire and then keep this guy. Pat is part of the problem in my eyes.
I look at the kings and can't help but be jealous. They have a system that works. They have won 6 in a row and their young guys coming from the ahl buy in and are chipping in. Something is rotten within our organization and it start at the ahl level
Did you read the last couple pages of this thread?Anyone hear Keith Yandle's story about Cronin on Spittin' Chiclets yesterday? It's at the 1:41:00 mark.
