His team (the Steelheads) are moving to the CAA arena in Brampton. I'll try to catch a few games. Porter Martone is a name on the Steelheads to look out for in 2025. He's incredibly gifted and continues to get better each season.

Certainly made a big jump in production (and +/-) from his first draft year. Good size, righty. Mississauga had a good year and they still have a lot of returning players, including their top 3 scorers. In fact their top 6 scoring forwards will all be back. At the same time their top scoring d-man is aging out so it seems like it’s an ideal situation for Harding to be in. Great team + even larger role.

Whats this guys deal. Decent sized defender and crushing his pt totals from last year.
+38 on the year with the next highest dmen on his team at a +15

What's even sweeter here and interesting is that this pick was pretty much a free one from the NYR. Back at the 2023 draft, we traded the rags pick 90 for pick 91 and a 7th in 2024..

Pick 91 was Pieniniemi!!

The New York Rangers acquired a 2023 3rd round pick (#90) from the Pittsburgh Penguins for a 2023 3rd round pick (#91) and a 2024 7th round pick

I got the chance to watch him on Friday against North Bay. He was the best player on the Steelheads by a wide margin (granted, Porter Martone was injured). His skating already looks like it is NHL quality. His gap control is tight, and he likes to make contact with the puck carrier. I didn't see much that would indicate that he would be a point producer or PP QB in the NHL, but he definitely looks like a D-man who has a future as a middle-pairing/bottom-pairing complementary partner.

He reminds me a lot of John Marino, just with more of an edge. That would be a hell of a steal as a 7th round-pick.
