Wedgewood is signed for 2 years so we don’t have to worry about him, but I wonder how much we gonna give Blackwood or how much can we give him? If last night’s game is an indication how he’s gonna play for us, it might be tough to re-sign him for cheap. How much can we realistically afford to pay him?
He's not going to be cheap but CMac knew the numbers before the trade since Grier knows how much Blackwood wants and this is one reason why he traded him. With that said, CMac said that they intend to keep him long term so...

He's 28, going to be UFA and wants term and higher AAV.

My guess is ~4.5M AAV with a term of 4 or 5 years. The Wood/Wood tandem should cost ~2M more than Justus/Georgiev.

Joey Daccord extended with Seattle for $5x5 in October.

Not a perfect comp, but he and Blackwood are both 28-year-old starting goalies who're peaking now after not having the longest/greatest track records.

They're either betting on Landeskog only returning for a playoff run, or know one or both of Colton and Manson are going to be traded if they're already penciling in his extension.

Trade Colton, keep Drouin for cheaper is going to be one move I could see. Manson also likely moves.

I don't get it though, the NHL app shows he has a 2.77 and .904 for the season. 10 GP
Natural Stat Trick says he's got a 2.44 GAA and a .918 SV%. They're showing 10 games played between both NSH and COL for a combined TOI of 417:18.

I wonder why there are such difference between sites. I was using "All Strengths" from the filters.

No chance it doesn't start with a 5. Imagine his agent will shoot for 6 and they'll land somewhere in the $5.25mil neighborhood on something like 4 years. Avs probably don't want to go too short or too long here.

What does NST have for Blackwood?

If he plays like this all year I could see them giving him 8 years, and making him part of the core in order to get the AAV down.

4.5 x 8 front loaded aF

Our needs for a low AAV, and his need for stability/injury history are a perfect match.

NHL.com and even Hockey-Reference are definitive sources.

Wedgewood has given up 25 goals this season in 10 games (8 starts). That ain't a 1.92 GAA, folks.

Blackwood's played 20 games betwen SJ and COL for a total of 1118:33. He's sporting a .911 SV% and a 2.95 GAA. [All Strengths] of course.
