Wtf are both the preds and pens doing ? Not just this trade but in general

Pens: don’t worry Crosby we’re gonna try compete - now let’s ditch guentzel and get tomasino

Preds: lets compete now, sign old washed shoot first players when we have forsberg. Actually let’s rebuild we have 3 first rounders let’s ditch this 23 year old that showed promise at one point

I actually don't mind it from a Pens perspective, give up minimal assets for a once-promising prospect. They really got nothing to lose at this point.

As for the Preds, probably just trimming the fat, they only got a 4th so I doubt this is a "rebuilding" move. Just recuperating assets from a player they longer believe is worth the trouble, or he simply asked out.

I actually think this is the move to put some pressure on that lockeroom cancer, Crosby. SEPH might have been on to something.

Trotz is a coach with GM rights.

Marchessault, Stamkos and keeping Sarros over Askarov were 100% coach decisions. Ask any coach who he wants and he wants those guys.

Coaches don't care one bit about the aging curve and how contracts age.

At what point does cmac pull the plug on the two plugs in net?

When does he ever do anything before the trade deadline? Just look at Johansen last year.

Guys were gassed last year. First from overlying on the top line because of Johansen, Then, after Georgiev blew a tire in game 1 against Winnipeg, guys realized they’d have to empty their buckets the rest of the series.

Might not even be in the playoffs with goal tending in the 0.800s

Avs praised for their patience in the past certainly think it’s the wrong call now. Gotta get desperate and take some chances…I just really hate how passive they generally are.

Yeah. Admitting to managements MO isn’t arguing for managements MO. I kind of illuminated reasons for why there are justifications for addressing problems early. Georgiev in his last year shouldn’t be hard to swap out. The plus depends on who we’d be getting.

Exactly punt CMac to the sun and bring in Macrimmon from Vegas. Need to live the other way for a while else there no chance they win another with this core.
