Didn't Greenway just have a "type of procedure" according to Lindy then we rushed him back way too fast imo now he needs something else done?
You raise an Interesting point. After the medical conflict between the Sabres medical staff and Eichel's, perhaps, the players confidence in the team MD's isn't quite what it should be?I’m kinda assuming they mean rehab or some kinda quick fix surgery- for a hernia I think you can try and stitch it up (4-6 weeks?) but if that doesn’t take it needs mesh or somethin and takes 4-6 months. Not a doctor, maybe 50% of that is right, but that’s my guess- that they didn’t rush him, but kinda knew it likely wouldn’t work.
That said, I’ve expressed my doubts about the medical staff before.
Hope we can re-sign Greenway, think he comes outta this motivated.

I've been thinking about it ever since Kevyns presser; the Sabres, namely Kevyn and Terry, should shoulder a lot of the blame for why this team isn't a destination. Whether you hate Jack or not, his surgery situation would give any player pause. If you're not going to have your franchise players back, why would I trust you'll have mine? Regardless of the details of the situation, you KNOW a majority of NHLers see that and think "not taking my chances there."For those following along at home, neither the doctor or trainers who handled Lehner are still in Buffalo, nor is the team physician the same now as when Jerk was in B’lo.

By the end of 2022-23, the Eichel-surgery-thing seemed largely behind us. It is creeping back into the narrative again, because we have returned to being awful. It's just my opinion, but if Pegula/Adams had behaved like a normal NHL owner/GM combo after 2022-23 and committed to enhancing the roster, rather than doubling and now tripling down on "not blocking prospects", they would be out of this mess. They are the authors of their own demise.I've been thinking about it ever since Kevyns presser; the Sabres, namely Kevyn and Terry, should shoulder a lot of the blame for why this team isn't a destination.
