Frankly, blessing in disguise for the Rangers then. I can understand if they are upset for like a day, because of course. But this is a business in the end.

If the players really want to stop playing for their fans because someone was mistreated, those players are f***ing cancer.
lol @ upset for like a day

That's much worse than that and it has nothing to do with playing for the fans. When a coach loses the room there's no coming back, it's probably the same with a GM.

If a player quits playing for the team, the coach and for the fans because he hates the GM while not even asking for a trade, it's f***ing pathetic.

If all the players rally for not playing for this GM anymore then Drury is done.

Sure. And then the next GM should do everything in their power to ship those pieces of shit players as far as they can. Can't waive Zibanejad, but sure as hell can play him 4th line minutes then.

If the players feel they have a right to try and f*** over the entire fanbase and the coach because they dislike the GM while not even asking for a trade, then those players are villains.

Do you realize players do not give a f*** about playing for fans?

This is a business. Money first, winning second. Fans are not even a discussion.

Drury was within his legal rights to do what he did to Goodrow and Trouba. It doesn't mean it was in good faith, and players in that room take note. There is no reason to play your heart out for a GM who clearly thinks of players as assets to move around and nothing more. Thus, you quit on a GM.

And if you quit on the fans, you should be f***ing out. The Rangers once again got booed out of the building, and I can imagine the type of messages that are pouring into the social media of guys like Zibanejad and Kreider (and their families) at this point. Rightfully so.

Let's say Drury gets fired tomorrow, how on Earth do you think those players still should come back to play for the team? The fans f***ing hate their guts.

My Lehner interpretation:

Was forced to retire for cap reasons.
NHL tricked the antivaxxers into taking Covid shots.
Family is being extorted and will be killed by criminals in Sweden.
He took loans to pay the criminals.
He has always been on drugs through his career including the rehab and the teams knew from drug tests.
Was forced to file bankruptcy while drugged to high hell.
FBI was protecting the family and he was advised not to travel to Sweden.
When he was young his dad stole his money by getting him to guarantee loans.
Family wants to stay in US but seems like they are at risk of getting deported.
He was diagnosed by the doctors as injured and needing surgery, but was told by team that all is OK and he's suspended, to work their cap magic.
Was going to physically attack the Vegas coach for doing all this to him.
At one point Vegas org started ghosting him.
NHL and NHLPA were dealing with his contract situation with no input from him and without telling him anything.
End result was his forced retirement.
He was strapped in a suicide ward because of media rumors.
He's being sued to make him stay silent longer.
He's lost many court cases already and isn't believed in court.
Vague implications that he will kill himself.

Not necessarily. Drury largely inherited Gorton’s team. If players suddenly invoke some defiant petulance, they can be shipped out too. Drury can send these guys to Siberia.

As for my own opinion on his claims:

I do believe that Vegas was circumventing the cap and that he has always been on drugs while in the NHL. The latter part would match with Nichushkin's situation.
And I do believe that he was taken advantage of financially.

Again, nobody cares about the fans.

Once upon a time the fans used to boo the Avs off the ice practically every home game if it wasn't already dominated by opposing teams' fans during 16-17. Didn't mean every last player had to go.

The Rangers players clearly are done with Drury as a GM. You can't trade EVERYONE but you sure can get rid of one single GM.

Heard yesterday that the room turned against the GM. You don't see that shit often.

Players really don't appreciate what Drudy did to Trouba (and possibly Kreider) and Laviolette is stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Drury is a jerk but so is Laviollette.

Yeah. It seemed fishy.
