When he commits to hitting a guy he doesn't miss, I'll give him that

Having said that I'd like to see his offensive game develop like it did in the back half of last season, his offensive trajectory was looking promising when we drafted him

At the moment he's looking like a statistical outlier if he makes it and those aren't great bets

They weren't drafted in the first round. And they're the exception to the rule, not the rule. So it leaves a bit of room for hope, but not much.

Good shut down guys can move the puck efficiently, getting the puck out of your zone to one of your guys helps the old G/A

The last couple highlight hits from him he seems to come in really low on them, I haven’t seen too many guys his size go in for hits crouched over and exploding up like that. On one hand that should avoid headshot penalties but on the other I have a bad feeling it gets him blown up if he tries that against a 220 pound NHL sized forward.

I think Danford is gonna kind of be like a Fraser Minten where the junior numbers don't look sexy but they have so many good pro attributes (size, skating, hockey sense, competitiveness ect) that they won't look out of place at all once they actually hit the pro level.

Defensemen that are drafted for defending still generally put up points in junior. Putting up points as a defenseman in junior does not mean you're a "rover".

What in the world are you on about? Nobody has said anything about any of that. You're the one acting like putting up points in junior makes you a rover, when some baseline junior production level is generally just a can-you-make-a-pass quality check.
