Playoff goal. It was Game 1 of their 1st round series vs. Okotoks Oilers. Vees take a 1-0 series lead.

The good thing about Merrill is lately, he's been on the scoresheet more often. He's put up 8 pts (4G, 4A) in his last 10 GP.

He finished the regular season with 12 pts (5G, 7A) in his last 14 GP.

Hes a long term project known for his defensive ability. I'm sure they're quite happy to give him a shot.

Overall, his season in the BCHL didn't meet our expectations in terms of production.

But he was on fire in the end of the season and playoffs.

BU gets a ton of potential freshmen wanting to come in every season. If they picked him, it's because they see something worth having on the team.

I wonder if the Habs had any input on this, as they have spoken very highly of the job Jay Pandolfo has done at BU. Going from the ECAC and an Ivy League team where they play the least amount of games and a weaker schedule to the Hockey East which is one of the top conferences in the NCAA should be good for him. Interested to see how his season goes, hope they work with him this summer on the skating.
