Imagine there being 4 projected top line Centers available in the draft, who come from a country that’s not at war and are not signed to play in said country for 3 years.

What’s your next excuse?

If the war is such a concern for the first 4 teams to not draft a generational (?) player, it should also be a concern for the Habs.
Either way, I've stated before. I don't care who the Habs draft, I will judge their pick in 3 or 4 years from now. To be pissed off or over joyed because they pick Michkov or not is so stoopid when nobody knows how the players are going to turn out.
There are surprises and deceptions in every draft.
