Most of them probably exist in his head. It's not like the Sox thread on this board is crowded, but I don't see many who only post here when they are miserable.
Obviously people feel the need to talk more about bad things, as if that wasn't the case with the Bruins. Look at the player threads from players that did fine and then the ones who had bad playoffs.
I am happy that the Sox are outperforming what most analysts and pundits expected them to be. But we need to hold our horses. Even after the recent surge, most power rankings still have them in the middle of the pack (which is where many, including me, expected them to be). So it's completely unnecessary to jump to any foregone conclusions or taking victory laps already.
As for Yoshida, I didn't think he had such a good bat, hopefully it just isn't a hot stretch. But his advanced stats reflect exactly what was written about him in the off-season. Greatest weapon is his bat, anything else subpar. But I am fine with that as long as his bat is so good (0.5 fWAR right now). but I am fine with that outcome if it accumulates to a 2-2.5 WAR season.
Let's see where it goes from here. If they are in the middle of contention in a few months, Bloom certainly has the chance to upgrade the rotation.
