Houck needs to be a multi inning reliever. Simply can’t let him face guys 3 times

Whitlock, Houck, and Crawford. All arms you can use 1-2 innings. Winckowski in this mix as well.

They’re weapons in the pen. Need starters to get to them. 5-6 innings. Keep them fresh.

I think Whitlock is better for the pen wjth his durability issues. Houck with his ineffectiveness after a few times through the lineup.

I still disagree. The sample size is too small. Advanced metrics are fine. I'd take that any day over a multi inning RP.

Wong with a HR, this team is resilient. Came back from 6-3 in no time.
He can’t get through the third time through without major damage. This is nothing new and is not a small sample, it dates back to his days in the minors as well. It’s always been the knock on him.

He did show some great mental toughness getting through the bottom of the order in the 6th after the disaster 5th

The Sox battle and they’re getting it from all over the lineup. Wong tonight has been a monster. Last night (and all season), Verdugo. Duran with a huge knock last night. Yoshida coming on has been huge.

Sox battle. They’re a likable team. Are they perfect? Far from it. Can they make it interesting and should they? Yes and yes.

He added the cutter and is throwing his splitter more often this year. Different pitch mix opposed to past years. We need to be patient, the book is not written yet.

Boycott the team!!!!!!!!!!

I’d love nothing more than to be wrong. It will take significant improvement or else he’s a 5 and dive guy or a high end reliever (also great outcomes for us)

What starting pitchers these days are not 5 inning guys? Seems like that is the norm.

I can see the MLB trying to change that in the future. Aren't they experimenting with a rule that a team would lose its dh if the SP exits before finishing 6 innings?

If it was me, I'd connect the DH to the SP. As soon as the starter is out, so should be the DH. That's one hell of an incentive to leave the SP in longer.

I'm gonna say it. This Sox team is likeable.

Minus Braiser.
I don't know if anyone was calling the group of players unlikeable. Not like the chicken and beer brigade. It was just disliking their talent level. But yes, they deserve some credit for where they are right now.

They're doing this with Devers being cold to start the year

Today I pray for the “fire bloom” and “boycott the season” dweebs
LOL. As if they just clinched a playoff spot. I'm here. I follow the team. This is the type of year Bloom needs to save his job. Still early but unlike a lot of people on here I am a slave to the scoreboard.

another good pair of trades Bloom made with the CWS

Broadway + Denlinger + McGuire for German + Diekman. McGuire has been very good for us and Denlinger in particular looks like a possible reliever. The White Sox just DFA’d Diekman and German today
