And 86.1% chance of picking top 6 (would've been 49.5% if we jumped the Coyotes).LETS GO BOYS! TOP 7!!!
Leonard would be nice too but yes those are my top 7 as wellI will be kinda upset if we don't take Bedard/Fantilli/Carlsson/Michkov/Benson/Smith/Reinbacher.
YESSSSSSSS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WELCOME TO MTL ZACH BENSON or WILL SMITH!!!!!
Bottom 5 finish finalized. Bottom 7 pick clinched.
It's extremely unlikely 2 teams jump Montreal, so, we're getting 1,2,5, or 6. Not bad.
Doug GilmourWhat would be your comparaison for Benson? Marner? Point?
The forecheck, vision and defense game of a Marner.Marchand without the dirtiness, for me.
He's on my do not draft list because of that hair cut
The opposite for me. He's on mine because of it. But this guy is questionable...Kaner has it better hahahaHe's on my do not draft list because of that hair cut
Statistically we are picking 6th.
So you'd be likely debating on Smith or Benson vs. Reinbacher.
Sounds about right.Statistically we are picking 6th.

Good news is Hughes knows very well Smith... If he's available and he omits taking him, I'll trust his judgement.
Smith/Benson are very close for me. Don't like that Benson is already injured/small, but what a motor, never gives up on a play.
Smith on the other hand has some Zegras in him. He always has been the smartest player on the ice, and maybe what looks like disengagement sometimes will just disappear as competition builds up? He oozes talent and vision. Smooth as hell.
Reinbacher has the tools like Seider had the tools, so it's easy to project him into the big German but there is a risk he ends up a 2nd pair D as well if his offense stays limited. He however had a better D-1 than Seider, but Seider development in his D+1 in the SHL was phenomenal.
3 worthy picks between #5-7 OA.
