Listening to a steinbrenner complain about the Mets spending too much money is simultaneously funny and pathetic based on the history George had in this city.
It very well may come down to the Yankees and dodgers. Who's willing to pay more. They both need a cf and neither of them is hiding the fact they want one. Good spot for the pirates but I'm sure they will mess it up like they normally do.

We're talking about the same bader here right? The one that hit 250 and has a career 245 avg, a 1.1 war and career 11 war with 52 hrs over almost 1600abs? That bader? The one that cost the Yankees Montgomery and who had a 528 ops after the trade and a 650 ops over the season and a career ops of 723 and a career k rate of almost 29 percent?
Meanwhile Reynolds value is in that he is an offensive cf in a league starving for them that are available to be acquired. But the Yankees would pay that price on to simply shift him to lf and take up a corner of position for the sake of Harrison Bader who is a 4th of...

Funny you mention all of that but leave out Baders gold gloves and defensive metrics lol..yeah,it would be beyond stupid to move the better centerfielder to left for Reynolds
defensively reynolds is not a liability - he'll be fine at center.
comparing bader to reynolds is insane. one is a spare part picked up from the cardinals scrap yard. the other an all star hitting with limited support in the crappy pirates batting lineup.

Trying to paint Bader as a 1.1 WAR player while ignoring all the time he missed is dishonest as best.

Yeah because you actually need some offense from that position. If you're trading for one of the best center filters in the game you don't move them to a corner spot. Bader is a 4of.

The Yankees need another OF. If you don’t think Bader is any good then you think they need 2 OF. IMO, who plays CF isnt worth arguing over because LF in Yankee stadium needs a defender that can cover ground like a CF anyway. So, if Bader and Reynolds can both play CF thats a perfect pair. Let the best man win the position in training camp. I don’t care. Just give me the best 9 the Yankees can field.
