The Mets $500M payroll is the highest ever, their $110M luxury tax is more than half the teams payrolls, and I love it!

His ops is .943 great dealCohen has just signed Sea Gull, 4 years $36M.
No one knows what the Giants were concerned about. It's worth considering that the Twins, who obviously had all the information on him through firsthand knowledge, and who are not big spenders and are very cautious, offered him $285 over 10 years. Hard for me to believe they'd make an offer like that for someone that was truly damaged goods.so the Giants failed his physical and the Mets bailed him out and the fans are happy?
Im confused
How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?... We may never know.

I checked in on my Giants fan friend. He is not well right now.
You're just missing the cap...Do I look like Mr. Owl?
And to add to this, the Mets signing of Correa is probably also pending a physical, so for all we know they’ll either not see anything worth having a fuss about or they’ll nix the thing. No one knows what the Giants were concerned about. Also, he didn't fail a physical from what has been reported, but instead the Giants saw something they wanted more information on, asked for more time to evaluate it, and Boras took Correa elsewhere. It's entirely possible, given more time, SF would have moved forward. We may never know.
There's also the Kumar Rocker situation, which shows the Mets under Cohen aren't just going to totally throw caution to the wind on guys with injury concerns. And Rocker was a much less risky investment in terms of financial commitment than Correa.
McCann and May were both up there with my least favorite Mets ever. I have no idea why Mets fans on /r/baseball were all upset about May leaving. I told my brothers that not only do I not want to see him with the Mets ever again, I don’t even want to see him in the MLB.Getting rid of McCann actually makes me happier than the Correa swindle lmao
I hated May. He seemed so un-clutch and was also such a big cheerleader on Twitter. The combination infuriated me for whatever reason. Seems like a really solid guy but I hated him.McCann and May were both up there with my least favorite Mets ever. I have no idea why Mets fans on /r/baseball were all upset about May leaving. Him and McCann are f***ing bums.
I mean it's second base. McNeil isn't going to be here super long term. I think people lose perspective of just how old he is because he's still arbitration eligibleI may need to rethink this one lol. This is something that very few have pulled off in getting Correa. Now, Baty has also been a LF, and that could be a spot where he and Canha platoon a bit. Mauricio really has no spot now. He's going to be the biggest trade chip that they use.
I couldn't stand May either. I remember when the Mets signed him from the Twins an anonymous executive from the AL Central said they were glad he was out of the division, so I bought into the hype. The guy was a disappointment in NY.I hated May. He seemed so un-clutch and was also such a big cheerleader on Twitter. The combination infuriated me for whatever reason. Anyway, deal appears to be McCann + $19M to Baltimore for a PTBNL, with Orioles paying $5M on McCann. If true, that's great that we didn't have to attach a prospect and just paid our way out of the deal.
