Mets transferred the Wilpon loser energy to San Francisco
You mean our #4. José Quintana is our #3.
verlander won the cy young last year and hes only on a two year deal, even if he regresses from last year the guy had a 1.75 era last year, so he regresses to a 2.75? i mean we both know that cohen is going to go hard for ohtani to replace one of them.....im just not as concerned
It'll be awesome when it happens after Heyman tweets that the Giants signed him.Just wait till he signs Shohei Otani next year.
On what basis?I think even 2.75 is really optimistic.
He's 40 and his career ERA is half a run higher than that.On what basis?

Kid is going to push for a spot on the roster this year, either in spring or in the season.
Him getting some reps at 3rd is good too. That's where he could end up. Him or Baty will be at 3rd for this team for the long term.
Yankee fans can’t stand that assholeNothing cleanses the pallet of a tough Ranger loss like waking up to the Correa news. NY Baseball at the center of the universe as it should be. Subway World Series coming
If Correa signed with the Yankees you wouldve made 3 threads about it
ahh yes his playoff era means hes going to break down lolCheck his playoff ERA
2018- 4.15
2019- 4.33
2022- 5.85
the mets are making the playoffs regardless of Verlander but I don't see the appeal of a guy who sucks in the playoffs.ahh yes his playoff era means hes going to break down lol
guy has two world series rings, im sure he would disagree with youIt doesn't but I don't see the appeal of a guy who sucks in the playoffs
He had nothing to do with the second one. Unless his 5.85 ERA was instrumental in that run.guy has two world series rings, im sure he would disagree with you
so using your own thought process you should void judge's contract because hes not a playoff performerHe had nothing to do with the second one. Unless his 5.85 ERA was instrumental in that run.
I'm not the biggest Judge fan for that reason but the Yankeess are barely(maybe not even) a playoff team without him. Also its more likely Judge has a good playoff run one of these years than Verlander having one imoso using your own thought process you should void judge's contract because hes not a playoff performer
without judge the yankees dont make the playoffs and without verlander the astros may not be in a position to be where they areI'm not the biggest Judge fan for that reason but the Yankeess are barely(maybe not even) a playoff team without him. Reports are that the Mets are still looking to add at least another bat and another BP arm.
nit picking stats never happens here on HF boardI guess Verlander's years where he had a 2.22, 0.39, and 2.21 ERA in the playoffs don't count. Or he used to be a playoff performer and now he's not? And it's not just that in a sample of 3-5 starts if you have a bad start or two it ruins your ERA?
i think they are going to get hendricksReports are that the Mets are still looking to add at least another bat and another BP arm.

my guess is mccann and vientos for hendricksSee now that OTOH would be a great move.
Hendriks had a 9.00 ERA in his last playoff run. Not interested.
