It'll probably be Rodon and BeniRodon, Beni, and Senga I would have been happy with, but the latter is no longer possible.
Ohtani?
deGrom left and the Mets rotation is better.
do you know how much HGH Verlander can afford now?Is it though?
I see a rotation thats incredibly high risk. Something tells me that rolling into the season with your 1 and 2 starters both being 900 years old is going to end poorly.
I get the excitement of spending after what the last owner was, but the moneys been thrown around pretty mindlessly (Nimmo getting 8 years is f***ing wild.) Not really impressed with their off season.
Yes, it is. Verlander/Scherzer is just as good as deGrom/Scherzer or close enough, and Senga has legit stuff. He replaces Walker easily and is cheaper. Carrasco is still there and they added Jose Quintana who had a 2.9 FIP. He’s very underrated. Is it though?

Never heard of that Liver King dude until last week but what a clown for claiming he was all naturaldo you know how much HGH Verlander can afford now?
He'd make Liver King blush
Nym? Haven't heard that but would be shocked after the adds they made to the rotation. Rodon is going to cash in and then hurt a toenailRodon is in a great spot - SF NYY NYM
Which team pays him disgustingly for 14 wins
So bassit or senga? Both essentially get three year deals with the senga optout in 25. Mets prefer the risk reward of senga? Bassit seemed to like NY. Good add for the jays though.Bassitt to Jays 3/63
The dodgers comment is spot on. They aren't trading their farm for players, they are buying players while they build a farm. SmartYes, it is. Cohen spent a ton of money but he’s going the dodgers route. Spend big now and build a farm system. The only players under contract past 2024 are Marte, Nimmo, Senga, Lindor, and Diaz.
Regardless, they may not win it all, but the rotation overall is way better next year
I don't see him coming to the Northeast.Ohtani is in Queens next offseason

The Yankees still think pitching is the problem. It's adorable.
Assuming they resign Beni or get a similar caliber left fielder and a healthy DJ, that would make a difference to the hitting I think. Losing them in the ALCS did not help whatsoever. The Yankees still think pitching is the problem. It's adorable.
You mean "close your eyes and swing hard" doesn't work? The Yankees still think pitching is the problem. It's adorable.
Why would I assume they're signing Benintendi? They're offering a bag to Rodon and then they'll cry poor.Assuming they resign Beni or get a similar caliber left fielder and a healthy DJ, that would make a difference to the hitting I think. Losing them in the ALCS did not help whatsoever.
Fair enough, lol. I'm optimistic they'll resign Beni or at least trade for a Reynolds or one of the D-Backs outfielders. Maybe a 1 year deal to Brantley. Why would I assume they're signing Benintendi? They're offering a bag to Rodon and then they'll cry poor.
Eppler is the guy who brought Ohtani to the Angels so there might be some affinity between the two. Bonus factoid: He scouted Tanaka for the Yankees.I don't see him coming to the Northeast.
Since his decision to join LA, its been clear he's scared to play in a real baseball town (so no to Boston, NYY, NYM, etc).

My biggest concern with the Mets rotation is that they may or may not have whatever the Astros were putting into Verlander's bloodstream. Is it though?

Well that they can get at the New York Honeyfest most likely.I'd say it was more about what he was putting on the balls than what he was injecting himself with.
