I think here you go with whatever team in the West you feel best about, which for me comes down to EDM/STL/CGY. Leaned EDM due to McDrai+ banking on better goaltending. As a Blues fan I think the disaster potential in net between Binnington/Greiss is somewhat high, even if I do expect them to make the playoffs fairly comfortably.

Maybe I’m nuts but I think Vegas bounces back. Maybe they even get a goalie at the TDL.

I can't believe the stupid Rangers finished that high.

Anyway, Florida here.

Everyone just forgot about Florida because Tampa has their number but they're still really good. Don't forget that Tampa got swept before winning two Cups.

Boston getting underrated around here. Should be expected as their demise has been “predicted” for like 4 seasons now.

IF they make it out fairly well until game 20 or so without losing too much ground in the standings because of all their injuries, they’re going to be a force in the playoffs with Marchand, McAvoy, Grez coming back.

They were a 107pt team last year on paper and out of Tampa, Toronto, Florida they’re the only team that actually improved on paper when all are healthy.

I don't think anyone forgot about Florida, I think people are a bit shy due to the roster turnover. Have you seen their current defence with Weegar gone? Marchment also walked, that's 15-20 goals. Personally, I see Huberdeau to Tkachuk as a downgrade.

They should definitely be above the Rangers (as several others also should be) but I get why they've dropped.

These are fair points.

I would still have them above Edmonton. What McDavid did to get them into the third round is not at all normal or sustainable, even by his standards. They can't count on 3PPG every year.

Can’t vote Edmonton this high until they show an improved defense. Between STL and Calgary for me. I think the Flames may take a season or two to gel with their new pieces. Went Blues but they’re all close.
