Boston could be very scary come playoff time if they can ride out the early season injuries. Wouldn't surprise me to see them go on a deep run.

Washington then Minnesota. They're close.

Then Nashville and Vegas. They're close.

Marchand Bergeron DeBrusk
Hall Krejci Pasta

Lindholm McAvoy
Gryz Carlo

My case for Boston is this:

After Jan 1st last year, when they bumped Pasta down to create two good lines, the Bruins were a top 4 team in the NHL. Since then they have added Lindholm for more than 9 games and Krejci. They took Carolina to 7 in the first round, but could not win on the road as Haula got exposed as a fake #2C. That hole is patched. If things go right, this is the best Bruins top 6 since Iginla left. They aren’t a one line team anymore.

But things have to go right. Bergeron is still elite but old. Marchand coming off a major surgery. Krejci took a year away. They really need a kid to make a leap on the 3rd line to be a real contender. A lot of things could go wrong.

But the upside of this group is very very high.

How can they get a better goaltender with no cap space and the goaltending market being so dry at this point?
