GDT: 2023 Draft- do we draft in the first round?

The disadvantage of picking #30 is, we'll all stay up til 11 PM, have them cut to commercial when we pick, and then find out after that we traded into the second round.

The advantage of picking #30 is I won't literally say out loud "don't pick Jake Bean" "don't pick Jake Bean" all evening long only to have us pick Jake Bean. (Granted, I would have still f***ed it up and not taken McAvoy if I were GM as I liked Luke Kunin at the time).

I literally went double facepalm in our own arena at the draft party when we took Bean over McAvoy who was the dman I wanted.

Michkov won't be over for a few years.

It's annoying but the Canes will be either retooling or rebuilding by the time either one of those teams or players are good.
