Astros in 5. Between our shakey starting pitching and putrid play at home this year I expect the Twins to take advantage of both and put up a fight. Here's to hoping that we rectify both problems in the postseason..

I hear you Twins fans I hear you . Great job on breaking that streak.

Pitching match ups -

G1 - Ober vs Verlander
G2 - Lopez vs Valdez
G3 - Javier vs Gray

Everyone besides Javier has been confirmed .Interesting about Ober . Thought they would've went with Ryan.

Javier has been confirmed for G3

Fine with most of this.. Love that they kept Urquidy and left off Graveman ( shoulder discomfort) . Singleton is... ah whatever.

Here's our lineup for today

Edit - Alvarez is batting 3rd not Tucker.

Lineup is fine. Maldy was a lock to catch since JV is starting. Will probably catch for Valdez and Javier as well . Assuming Javier pitches G3. I would've loved to see Brantley bat 5th and drop Abreu down but for whatever reason Dusty has been dead set on Abreu in the 5 hole this season.

Go Astros!

JV looks shaky these first two innings. He needs to settle in. Thank God the Twins have hit into a couple DP already.

Minnesota knowing that they ain’t playing the Blue Jays anymore. Houston can hit good pitching
Our bats can also shrivel up and go desert dry out of the blue. Even against bad pitching. We have a joke amongst the fandom that if a opposing pitcher comes in with a ERA 5 or higher then it's a wrap for our bats lol.

The Blue Jays are the cure for ailing teams that haven't won playoff games in decades. See Seattle and Minnesota. If the Blue Jays make the post season again next year and face some ailing team that hasn't won shit for years, this team is dog ass.
