Prospect Info: [2023 - 69th] Jacob Fowler (NCAA - Boston College)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

how exciting, another goalie that won't surpass Dobes

Round 3 pick 69

Whaaaaaat???

Kid is gonna make it or Nikola Tesla is full of shit.

Going to BC of course, should have seen this one coming

:slaugh:

He’s honestly surprisingly explosive at that weight.

I would be willing to guess they work with him on getting a tad bit on the leaner side. Price was 6'-3" and 217.

Impressive if he has great agility for that height/weight. It might be why he was the 6th goalie drafted and not the 1st. Just guessing

The funny thing is, his girth kind of works for him, he’s very square and wide and takes away a lot of the net for a 6’1” goalie. I kind of wonder if he might be best left as a girthy goalie as he moves very well for one. It’s kind of what makes him good.

Not like this matters but at 222 lbs, he's the heaviest guy drafted along with Stramel in the 1st round.

6'-1" / 222 lbs. How agile is he for that height/weight?
He is not a great skater and stickhandler, but does cover a lot of the net (not just because of his weight). Its that kind of goalie who is big and play big in front of the net. With mobile D, that could work.

What I don't like, is that he will be playing with a stacked team. Hard to really gain experience when you don't really get challenged.

I believe he measured 6’1” at the combine. Not small, but definitely smaller than what we’re seeing where 6’3” is the standard and a lot of the top picks are 6’4”+
Don't think he was at the combine.

Or at least not listed here:

Anyway, Wolf and Levi are both 6'0. Saros 5'10.

Just gotta stop the puck.
