Good skater, decent puck handler, not a great offensive threat but didn't look bad playing for Switzerland.
Depth guy who has a chance to play in the NHL.
Kind of guy you want in the AHL instead of mediocre retreads in the hope he'll surprise you and take a step up.

Went with Samson b/c he was drafted as a defense first guy, broke out offensively and is a very late birthday (August) so there may be more upside there.
