If after 8 years they can only get out of round 1 just once, it's clearly the core 4 not just coaches. It would be a mistake on their part to run it back with the same players
....but I hope they never learn.

I call it the Core 5, because Reilly is just as responsible for their failures the past decade as the other 4 guys are.
They'll never win jack as long as Morgan Reilly is your No.1 D-man. the proof is in the pudding. He's a decent #2. On some of the teams left in the playoffs he'd be their No. 3.

If they end up Utah HC I'm gonna throw up. It's bad enough that MLS teams copy European Football branding like Toronto FC, or Real Salt Lake, or Inter Miami CF. I don't want to see that crap in North American pro hockey.

This might seem wacky, but my suggestion was Salt Racers, a nod to the speed demons at Bonneville. A lot of places have snow, mountains and Bigfoot, but this is unique to Utah.

The Black Diamonds are growing on me. YOu can use all the ski and snow motifs in designs as well as your black and white and blue would make great jersey colors.

I'd say more like 2/3rds.
I'd call them the Utah Sting. Keep it one syllable same as Utah Jazz. Swarm is the best of a bad bunch but Sting is better than Swarm IMO. Fits the "Beehive State" theme. Easy to chant "Go Sting Go".
I don't mind Outlaws but seems like a strange fit for a place like Salt Lake City.

Canyoneers instead of Canyons. Mountaineers isn't bad, but I associate that with forested regions(West Virginia, of course). Sting would be great, is that trademarked by Sarnia like Knights is by London?

There are a few of these that are already taken by lower-league teams. Head scratcher.
I like Canyons as they can get creative with the colors. Kind of keeps the Phoenix jersey palate alive. But not exactly a sports team name that inspires.
