The schedule for the best holiday tradition is finally here (albeit a couple weeks later than normal).
2021-22 National Para Hockey Team | Series vs. United States (Oct) Schedule and Scores

I wish the games were a bit earlier, it's nice to wake up and watch hockey during the day (though with it being in Russia next year there will be nothing but early games). Looks like we'll get a handful of games starting at 2pm EST though. Which game are you most looking forward to?

Highlights and marquee match-ups:

Boxing Day:
Canada opens the tournament vs the Czech's.
Sweden vs Russia

27th:
Sweden vs Slovakia (Slovak's always seem to give Sweden trouble)

28th:
Canada vs Austria

29th:
Czech vs Finland
Canada vs Germany
USA vs Sweden

30th:
Switzerland vs Slovakia (the loser of this game will likely have to play for relegation)

31st:
Finland vs Canada
USA vs Russia

2nd - Quarterfinals
4th - Semi's
5th - Gold & Bronze

Why are all the games at 7 est. 8 est is a much better time for all of Canada instead of just Ontario.

7pm is probably the peak time for game, viewers-wise. I would much prefer if the games were at different, unorthodox times. That's what make the World Juniors so much fun - at home over the holidays, watching hockey all day / in the morning. I can't wait for Russia next year.

It's also difficult for those of us in Edmonton who want to go to games. I work until 4.30, and while I'm actually close enough to the arena to realistically get there for 5.00pm, it's going to mean rushing out of the office and onto the LRT downtown. That extra hour would have been really nice.

Because Toronto.

There will be one, as there was last year. They won’t cut them all.
This is also great news for any poolsters that took a goalie that was favoured to start. There’ll be no stealing of the starter spot with just one pre-tourney game. A guy like Cossa will have to falter during the tournament now if we’re to see Garand get the net more than once.

It was rescheduled to december 24. Won't be surprised if they shut the whole tourney down. It's a mistake to allow them to hold this tourney.
They were able to hold the tournament last year, while nobody was vaccinated. So why was it okay last year...but not now with almost everyone involved vaccinated? Just run it without fans and in a bubble again and it has been proven it will work.
