Fellow Jays fans, clearly me watching was the problem. No more baseball for me:sarcasm:
Seriously though, maybe the most important win of the season. They needed that. Now keep it going.
Good on Jansen for silencing critics like me

Jansen comment aside they score without the bunt on a Jansen hit anyway, he pops it up a lot, strikes out an average amount and they were a good throw away from bunting into a 3rd/1st base double play which is unheard of.

Jansen is not the guy you want to be bunting to set up and that's assuming it has a reasonable chance of working which it clearly didn't.

I didn't mind the decision to bunt. Jansen also hits a ton of fly balls

Thank you Jano

Trish team is pathetic though. Epic fail after epic fail. Everyone sucks.
They deserve criticism but how about praise them when they deserve it like they did in the end?
Jays go 162-0 no hitter, win every game 55-0, win the World series, player commits error in clinching game up 52-0 in the 9th
Shaner: did you see that error? What a pathetic garbage team

Sad part is, this post isn’t hyperbole.

If I didn’t know any better I’d say Jansen sucks and is incapable of a 110+ WRC+!

Also that’s 10 positional players at 1+ fWAR now. I believe only the Dodgers, Yankees, and Blue Jays have achieved that this season.

People tend to forget, a 90 win team still loses 72 games.

when you watch a team day in and day out, patience is important.

people are still complaining they didn’t do enough at the deadline, which is ridiculous as the slide coincides with all the big boys bats going cold

straight up, your stars need to play to their level, don’t care what team it is

Oh I know. Like I'm over the top too at times but I'm not going to downplay a win. They showed up with people on them and delivered. Lets see if they can keep it going. Honestly I rather have a comeback than a 15-0 win or something. They had to dig deep in this scenario. Lets just leave it there.
I'm not surprised by the user though

I think Schneider saw what happened in the 10th with Bo hitting into a double play and got scared of it happening again, so he opted for the “safer” option in bunting.

Note the use of quotation marks lol. Because it almost happened again WITH the bunt.

I dont disagree at all with the last part, but I think its a huge reason why this 90 point team (assuming they hit that) is more frustrating then last years for many, not just the losses. Last year the stars were producing in spades, this year quite a few are struggling at the plate or the team as a whole seems to be unable as shulman mentioned tonight for a high powered team, very average when it comes to knocking in runs when guys get on, or hitting into high amount of double plays unlike last years team. That can be very frustrating for fans to watch. Not every loss is the same either. You can still play well and lose.

I like Jansen. Eventually they will need to decide on either extending Jansen long term or moving him for something else. Personally I'd love for him to finish the year at .770-.800 OPS as a good defensive catcher so we can maximize his trade value in the off-season. That's a very valuable piece with 2 years of control. I'd consider moving him in a Bader-Montgomery type of baseball trade for a starting pitcher. Then rock with Moreno-Kirk, so go with the 2 guys with more control. Something like Jansen for Quantrill or Pleasec could make sense imo. We're going to need another SP and we have 2 other good catchers.

Literally said this to a buddy via text tonight lol Hope he figures it out OR 2B it is for life.

Anddddd an all star at that lol

Ignore button is a lovely feature.
And an all-star. That goes to show just how bad they are.

Bunting is so f***ing stupid. The guy is 20 feet from you. Even if Successful Jansen is just going to strike out. Go f*** right off
The players can’t execute, in fact, they're going to change the rules where the infielders can stand.

Watched my 1st Jays game since back from vacation .. some great defensive plays from Jansen, Chapman, Springer, Tapia and Biggio .. and clutch hitting from Jansen and Chapman .. was expecting more from Berrios but he was ok in a 3rd/4th role .. some of da stars really need to be sat down to work on their defense .. Bo's throws to 1st base are beyond words awful .. Vlady needs someone to show him da ropes on da bag at 1st base .. Gurriel omg this guy don't look like he can play in da field like maybe its his weird running style but he at least gives it his all

I am more new school per say than old school but I still think Bunting has a place in the game. Some managers do over do it. Charlie drove me crazy how much he did it..

I don't understood the disdain for bunting if done and executed properly in the right situation.

Runner on 2nd. Batter slaps a grounder to the right side advancing the runner is considered a great piece of hitting. A guy laying down a bunt doing the exact same job is considered a waste of an out. Always confuses me when that mindset is thrown out to crap on bunting.

I'll do you one better - I've been to 4 games this season, 2 Manoah starts, 1 Gausman, 1 Stripling. 0-4 in those games and I think we held the lead for 1 inning in those 4 games combined.

(Did see Judge, Pujols, Ohtani and Trout hit live homers against us though, which was neat).

Lol yeah I guess it could be worse going to it and watching them lose, but at least being a fan of baseball you get to see some of those great players play as well, so kind of a win when going.

Well I didn't watch the game yesterday, I wanted to a couple times but just checked the scores online from time to time, looks like it worked they won lol guess I can't watch today's game.
