Apart from the 1st and 2nd, Gausman did not look good at all

Kudos to Chapman and Romano for pulling us through

He's legitimately the unluckiest pitcher in baseball. He gave up like 9/17 BIP's that were 90+ EV and 5 were hits and 1 was a sac fly. The other 4 hits were softies including that Christian Arroyo single in the 2nd that was a 1-2 splitter several inches below the strike zone. Yes some of that unluckiness is offset by him having the lowest HR/FB rate among qualified starters, but his BABIP is still 40 points higher than the 2nd highest which is ridiculous.

Need the bats to have a strong game to make it easier on the 'pen. White also needs to eat some innings.
White has been going in with the mindset the staff will pull him 3rd time through... he needs to be told he's going at least 3 times through and get it done... show some confidence in him.

White battled through that inning but he needs to get some easier innings so he can stay in the game for at least 5

This is such a stupid, pedantic implementation of the rule.

If a guy egregiously comes off the bag because he overshoots it, fine call him out. But it should be that as soon as a player makes contact with the base he remains safe as long as part of his body remains on the base or in the vertical space above the base.

Like how the NHL is handling off-sides calls now. Guys no longer need to have their skate physically on the blueline as long as they are still within the infinite vertical real estate marked by the blueline.

This reminds me of the movie "Moneyball" where Billy Beane says whey they bunt against you just go take the out at first and say thank you. Don't be a hero and try to get the out at 2nd. Vladdy did not watch that movie.
