What exactly is the rule on the runner crossing home plate before the third out is made?

Or is it one of those “in the vicinity” grey areas like the player close to second base on a DP?

Because the runner probably crossed home before the throw got to first there.
 
Romano threw 11 strikes on 14 pitches.

At least we have a decent runner starting at 2B with Cavana and a hot Jansen coming up then Springer and Vladdy.

On force plays it doesn't matter, only tag plays. Double play were both force outs

I’m so confused, was there a double, why is there a guy on the second base?
 
We've watched an awful pile of crap rolled out by this team at 3rd over the last 30 years... Chapman is just a pleasure to watch.

3rd out was a force out so the run automatically doesn’t count
